Not sure what to bring to the Fall or Winter Teen Retreat? We suggest packing the following items so that you are prepared for the activities offered throughout the weekend.

Dress Code:
Retreat participants must dress in accordance with the dress code.

• No short shorts
• No low-cut dresses or skirts
• No leggings, yoga pants, or other form-fitting pants
• No bare midriffs
• Undergarments should not be visible
• Clothing should not display inappropriate messages or references to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, weapons, or profanity

Participants should remember that the Teen Retreats take place in an Orthodox Christian environment and should pack clothing appropriate for the setting and planned activities.

Clothing:
Remember to pack for three days. While the clothing worn upon arrival will account for one day, we recommend packing three additional days of clothing in case an outfit gets wet or dirty during outdoor activities. An extra hoodie or sweatshirt is also highly recommended.

☐ Prescription medications, if needed (These may be left with the Camp Nurse.)

Bedding:
Our retreat facilities provide bunk beds with twin-size mattresses for participants. Please be sure to bring the following:

☐ Sleeping bag or twin-size sheets for the mattress

☐ Pillowcase

☐ Blanket, if desired (A sleeping bag is recommended for easier packing.)

For the Great Outdoors:

☐ Fall or winter jacket

☐ Warm flannel or other cold-weather clothing

☐ Extra hoodie and/or sweatshirt

☐ Wool or warm socks

☐ Refillable water bottle

☐ Umbrella or poncho in case of rain

Other Suggested Items:

• Clothing that violates the retreat dress code
• Illegal substances
• Alcohol
• Cigarettes or tobacco products
• Weapons of any kind
• Handheld gaming devices
• iPads
• Laptops
• Portable DVD players
• Candy

Cell Phones:
Cell phone use is strictly prohibited during the Teen Retreat. If a cell phone is required for medical purposes, please contact the Youth Ministries Department in advance. Otherwise, cell phones should be left at home. Any unauthorized cell phones brought to the retreat will be confiscated for the duration of the retreat.
