The Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, a diocese of the Orthodox Church in America, is under the omophorion of The Most Reverend Mark (Maymon), Archbishop of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania.
The Mission of The Orthodox Church in America, the local autocephalous Orthodox Christian Church, is to be faithful in fulfilling the commandment of Christ to “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”
The Youth Ministries in the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania are a key focus. The Diocese is dedicated to fostering the spiritual growth and development of Orthodox Christian youth. Under the guidance of the Diocesan Hierarch, the Youth Ministries program focuses on creating opportunities for young people to deepen their faith, build lasting relationships, and engage in meaningful activities that support their journey in Christ. Through a variety of programs, including Summer Camp and Teen Retreats, the Youth Ministries work to cultivate a strong sense of community and spiritual renewal among the youth of the Diocese.
